This problem is pernicious and it keeps so many people from staying in the aquarium hobby. It affects beginners and sometimes even experienced aquarists. Don't let it happen to you! This weeks video identifies this problem and offers solutions on how to fix it. It's not always easy, but together we can do it. https://youtu.be/WC9ewV91i9g
Number 1 Problem that Plagues the Aquarium Hobby....and HOW TO FIX IT!
I decided to put together a longer list of houseplants to grow out of an aquarium. These are some that I've been growing and experimenting with, some of them for up to 3 years now. Hope you enjoy and find it useful!!!
Saturday March 2, 7:00 am CST, a video 7 YEARS in the making will go public on YouTube. In 2017, I began experimenting with growing houseplants out of my fish tank and my fish keeping experience was forever changed (not hyperbole, but reality). Through the daily struggle with chronic back pain, I shifted the focus of my passion from outdoor landscaping, horticulture and plant design (which was becoming untenable physically), to scaping on a smaller scale. In the aquarium hobby, I found a new dimension of learning and discovery, a way to bring my love of plants and ecosystems to a more accessible level for my circumstances. This began a new chapter in my life. In 2020, I started PlantLife Project because I wanted to help others experience the life that plants and ecosystems can give us especially when there is a project to work on that requires us to stretch and learn more and build on what we learn, new discoveries leaving our mind blown at times. Each time we do this, a new dimension opens before us that challenges what we thought possible before, which can give us confidence to push forward and experiment with new possibilities. Thankfully, the pain is not chronic like before, but the desperation at the time, pushed me into this new chapter of life that I find myself in. You will not hear any of this in the upcoming video, but it is the real back story, part of my story. βI was never the one to dare to dream, but itβs funny what this life has done to me now β -Alterbridge
