So, today at the Quad City Swap, I bought a new fish. I had not anticipated buying said fish, so I had not fired up the second quarantine tank. It's been off for a couple of weeks now. In fact, right after the electric bill came in over $300. So, to warm the water up quickly, I did a water change. As the water's draining, all of a sudden, an Electric Blue Acara flies out from behind a plant. People, I had hit the kill switch on this tank. No filtration. No heat. Nothing. Yet there he was. Seemingly fine. On the 75, I left the filtration off for a couple hours and wound up killing close to 20 fish. In the 29... two or three weeks and this little dude is perfect. What a little trooper. I can't even tell which one he is now!

I'm going to start a series of videos where I answer the questions you guys ask. I know I've asked this before, but that was in multiple posts spread out over multiple platforms, which have since slipped into oblivion, and I can no longer find them. So ask again, please. I'll leave it here and here only so I can reference it later without tipping Facebook upside down and shaking it until something useful falls out. They can be about almost anything. My channel is called Whip's World because I want it to encapsulate more than just my fish keeping hobby, the YouTube algorithm be damned.
For those of you who paint the back of your tanks, what kind of paint do you use? Has it held up long term? I need to see if I still have a can left to see what I used, but clearly, long term, this did NOT hold up.
